Attribution Traffic is the traffic that comes to your site from the sites and RSS readers that are using your Feeds. When your feeds are properly decoded and displayed by an RSS reader (whether that reader is integrated into the site or is a stand-alone application), hyperlinks are created back to your site's main page and to the specific article. Likewise, when one of your articles has been manually blogged, the correct protocol is to provide a link back to the specific page where the article was found, and a link back to the main page of your site, if they are not the same. For example, I am going to properly blog one of my own articles from CAFESMUT.com...

Notice, it is not required that you take your excerpt from the beginning of the piece. You should feel free to excerpt from anywhere in the article, remembering that you should never excerpt more than about 1/4 of the total length.
